Regina drivers who frequent the east end of the city are almost through the first week of 16 of construction on Victoria Avenue.

The first week saw crews repaving the stretch of Victoria Avenue near the Quance Gate intersection, but on Monday crews will be moving west.

Paving will be happening at the Victoria Avenue and Prince of Wales intersection starting June 27, and the work is expected to take about a week, weather permitting.

Eastbound and westbound traffic on Victoria Avenue will be reduced to one lane each way and Prince of Wales will be closed for the duration of the paving.

Once that section of the repaving is complete, the construction will move west to another stretch.
