A flood relief concert will be held in Regina to help people affected by flooding from torrential rains in southeastern Saskatchewan.
The concert will feature Jay Semko of the Northern Pikes, Codie Prevost, Jess Moskaluke, Chris Henderson, Eli Barsi, Stephen Maguire, the Midnight Roses, Blake Berglund, JJ Voss, Samara Yung and Alex Runions.
“Unfortunately our province knows all too well how devastating flood events like this can be,” Regina Mayor Michael Fougere said in a news release.
“I know people all over Saskatchewan will be willing to step up and lend whatever help they can to our friends and neighbours who are suffering right now.”
PotashCorp has announced it will match proceeds from flood relief concerts in Regina, Saskatoon and Yorkton, up to $50,000. All proceeds will go to the Canadian Red Cross Sask Flood Fund.
The Regina flood relief concert will be held at Casino Regina on July 23. Tickets are $20 and are available at the Casino Regina box office and online at www.ticketbreak.com/event_details/7860.
