Cyclists and skateboarders can now protect their melon and show off their Rider pride at the same time.

Melon head helmets have arrived in Saskatchewan, and Roughriders president and CEO Jim Hopson tried one on for size Wednesday.

"We need to get that message out to kids and adults that we should be wearing our helmets when we're riding our bikes or when we're skateboarding; any activity that involves a risk to the head," Hopson said.

"You've only got one brain and why not protect it?"

Proceeds from the sale of each helmet will go to the Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association.

The melon head helmets are only available at Western Cycle in Regina.
