The annual Mayor’s Housing Summit was held Tuesday in Regina.

Ministers from both the provincial and federal governments spoke at the one-day summit, as well as representatives from provinces across the country.

Housing has been one of Mayor Michael Fougere’s top priorities since taking office in 2012.

At last year’s summit, it was decided that a special city hall committee would be created to guide affordable housing initiatives.

The city is also looking at selling several small parcels of land to non-profit groups for construction of low-cost housing.
