Police have laid 58 charges against four teens in connection with several gun calls that have happened in Regina over the past few days.

Between June 18 and June 26, police responded to 17 calls where the caller reporter hearing gunshots.

On June 21, a man was arrested while carrying a shotgun.

Between June 18 and June 25, there were four calls for windows in homes being shot out.

Between June 18 and June 26, there were five calls involving CO2 pistols or BB guns (including one that resulting in an injury to a man).

Five calls for gun shots, or guns spotted, all of which are unsubstantiated at this time.

Police have arrested four teens in connection with some of the gun calls in the city. They also seized a sawed-off .22 calibre rifle, and a loaded improvised firearm.

The accused, two 15-year-olds and one 14-year-old from Regina and a 13-year-old from Fort Qu’Appelle are facing a total of 58 charges, including two charges of careless storage of a firearm for the sawed off .22 and the improvised firearm, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon for both of the aforementioned weapons, two counts of possession of a weapon obtained by commission of an offense, and reckless discharge of a firearm.

The teens are also facing a number of additional charges.

The teens, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, appeared in court on Monday morning.
