The body of a 32-year-old man who reportedly fell out of his boat Sunday night on a northern Saskatchewan lake was found Tuesday.

RCMP received a call Sunday that a boater had fallen into Reindeer Lake.

Ground and air searches turned up nothing, and an RCMP dive team was called in Monday.

The body was located around 2 p.m. the following day in the lake about 15 kilometres northeast of Southend.

The coroner’s office determined the cause of death to be drowning and police do not consider the death suspicious.

The 32-year-old was from Southend, according to RCMP.

Community volunteers, members of the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association, and a team from Grandmother’s Bay assisted the RCMP in their search.
