Regina police are looking for a man who inappropriately touched a 10-year-old girl near a city playground.

The incident happened while the girl was walking along Fourth Avenue, just south of Grassick Playground, around 4:20 p.m. Thursday.

Police say a man walked toward the girl and as he passed by, she felt some contact on her buttocks. Other children who witnessed the incident described it as a “spank on the bum.”

The man ran away and the girl reported the incident to her parents and grandparent, who contacted police.

Officers searched the area but did not locate a suspect.

The man is described as Aboriginal, about 30 years old with an average build, black hair and black moustache. He was wearing grey sweatpants and a black T-shirt.

Anyone with information that could help with the investigation is asked to contact Regina police or Crime Stoppers.
