The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed club president and CEO Jim Hopson to a one-year contract extension into the 2015 season, which he says will be his last.

Hopson made the announcement at a news conference Monday in Regina.

He became the Roughriders’ first chief executive in 2005.

Since then, the Riders have made it to the Grey Cup four times in the last seven years, and won championships in 2007 and 2013.

The team says it will search for Hopson’s successor ahead of the completion of the new stadium, which is slated for 2017.
