A man is in hospital with serious injuries after a shooting in north Regina.

Police were called to an assault with a weapon on the 600 block of Retallack Street just before 4 p.m. Friday.

When officers arrived, they found the victim with injuries “consistent with an assault with a weapon,” police said in a news release. The injuries are described as serious and he was taken to hospital by EMS.

Police say the suspects were in a four-door sedan, but it isn't known whether any shots were fired from the vehicle. No descriptions have been released.

The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Regina police or Crime Stoppers.
