Punnichy RCMP have arrested 20-year-old Kayla Blueeyes, who was wanted in relation to a stabbing on the Kawacatoose First Nation.

Emergency crews were called to a home on the First Nation around 11:30 p.m. on Friday. A 30-year-old woman was taken to the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon by STARS Air Ambulance with serious injuries, RCMP said in a media release.

On Saturday, 20-year-old Kayla Blueeyes was charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Blueeyes was taken into custody on Sunday around 11:30 a.m. at a residence on the first nation. She will appear in Punnichy court on Oct. 25.
