The trial for Kim Madsen is underway in Yorkton. Madsen is accused of aggravated assault in a bar fight in Oct. 2015 that left Dennis Peepeetch paralyzed.
Peepeetch took the stand to describe the incident on Tuesday morning. He appeared by video, saying he has fear and anxiety about facing his alleged attacker.
“I’ll never walk again,” Peepeetch told the court tearfully. “I’ll be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I need total care 24-hours a day.”
The court saw video surveillance of the fight. The footage was graphic that many people in the gallery left the room.
