The Regina Police were busy this New Year’s Eve. End of the year celebrations brought noise complaints and reports of fights throughout the night.

The new year also brought reports of several early morning robberies.

The first incident happened on the 1500 block of Garnet Street. At 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, a woman was robbed by a man with a baseball bat. He stole her alchohol and left the scene in a blue jeep. No description of the man is available.

Another robbery was reported shortly after. At 4:28am, a woman reported the theft her purse on the corner of 15th Ave. and St. John Street. The assailant is described as a First Nations male with a short build and wearing a dark jacket and touque.
