A boy is facing charges after police received a report of a person with a possible firearm inside a Yorkton high school.
Several police units responded to Yorkton Regional High School around 1:45 p.m. Monday.
RCMP say the incident unfolded very quickly, so lockdown procedures were not initiated at the school.
Officers took a boy into custody without incident and seized a replica firearm at the scene. He faces charges including possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana.
One youth suffered unknown injuries during the incident and was taken to hospital, but the youth was not injured by the boy with the possible firearm, RCMP said.
