On Monday evening RCMP received a call regarding a male who was seen and heard struggling to keep afloat at Echo Lake Beach.
The RCMP called on the Manitoba Underwater Recovery Team to assist with the man, who was seen struggling approximately 150 meters from the beach.
Fire rescue, including boats as well as civilian boats assisted in searching for the male without success.
The body of 27 year old Jordan Franco from Regina was recovered later that evening.
