Environment Canada has issued a weather advisory for several communities in west-central and north-west regions of the province, including Lloydminster, Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Île à la Crosse.
Conditions in these areas will be favourable for the development of funnel clouds. These conditions are expected to remain until early Tuesday evening.
Environment Canada says if you see a funnel cloud, take shelter immediately.
A severe thunderstorm watch has also been issued for east-central and south-east areas of the province. A cold front moving east across Saskatchewan is expected to trigger thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening. Conditions in these areas may produce strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Environment Canada says residents should be prepared for severe weather, and take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
