A high-speed police chase in Prince Albert ended in a dramatic crash Saturday night that sent several people to hospital and closed down a busy intersection overnight.

It all started when police got a call that several people broke into a school on 23rd Street East. The suspects spotted police and attempted to make a getaway.

Police attempted to pull over the vehicle but the driver failed to stop. After driving at a high speed through several quiet neighborhoods and red lights, the suspects sped through another red light and struck a vehicle at 15th Street East and 15th Avenue.

Two people in the second vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested one person at the scene while two more fled on foot. Those suspects were arrested at the hospital.

Police say the truck involved in the chase was stolen. Several charges are expected and police are still investigating
