Charges of impaired driving causing death have been laid in a collision that claimed the life of a Fort Qu’Appelle woman over the weekend.
Steven Remenda from Indian Head was scheduled to make his first court appearance Monday morning in Fort Qu’Appelle.
Remenda, 39, was charged after a two-vehicle collision on a gravel road between Lebret and Indian Head early Saturday morning.
RCMP said a passenger in a car died after the vehicle swerved into the path of a pickup truck.
The name of the victim, a 40-year-old Fort Qu’Appelle woman, hasn’t been released.
The driver of the pickup was treated for minor injuries at the scene and the driver of the car was taken to hospital as a precaution.
