Five people have been released without charges after a possible firearm incident in North Central Regina.

Police say a woman was walking when a vehicle pulled up beside her and shot what appeared to be a gun into the air near Third Avenue and Retallack Street around 7 a.m. Thursday.

No one was injured.

Police later spotted the vehicle in the 900 block of Albert Street. Five people who were in the car were held for questioning and later released.

Authorities say no weapons were found.
