Regina police say reported crime fell 2.7 per cent in the city last year.
Crimes against the person dropped 9.4 per cent, while crimes against property were down 0.9 per cent.
There were two more homicides and two more attempted murders in the city last year compared to 2012.
The number of sexual assaults in Regina rose by 13 to 135, while the number of robberies fell 12.1 per cent to 232.
Regina Police Chief Troy Hagen said Tuesday that while the latest statistics are encouraging, there’s still more work to do.
