RCMP have released a sketch of a suspect in an attempted child abduction in Swift Current.
An eight-year-old girl was walking home last Thursday when a van pulled up beside her.
A witness told police that a man who was a passenger in the van opened the door and told the young girl to get inside.
The girl ran from the man and he chased her for a short distance. Mounties conducted patrols but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
The passenger is described as a Caucasian man, about 30 years old with acne. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded sweatshirt.
He and another man were in a red, older-model Econoline-style van with silver spoke-style hubcaps.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Swift Current municipal RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
