The Regina Humane Society is bursting at the seams with stray kittens.
The group says the number of felines that have arrived at the facility has increased more than 20 per cent from last year. There are 130 kittens currently in the society’s care.
Officials say a mild winter and early spring have resulted in a longer breeding season, adding to the problem.
Starting Thursday, the Humane Society will reduce kitten adoption fees to $50 and waive adult cat adoption fees entirely.
Adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, veterinary exam, microchip, tattoo, vaccinations and a 30-day Petplan pet insurance policy.
