Regina’s Reuben Ross says he’s retiring from competitive diving.

Ross made the announcement Wednesday during an interview via Skype on CTV Regina Morning Live.

“It’s kind of weird to come to a point like this because sports is such a huge part of your life,” Ross said.

“It’s like a relationship, really, and when you have to retire…it’s certainly an emotional moment.”

The news comes after his diving partner, Alexandre Despatie, announced his retirement Tuesday.

Ross won gold in the men’s three-metre or three-metre synchro events at the Canadian Nationals every year since 2008.
