An 18-year-old woman has been charged after the vehicle she was driving collided with a building on the 2400 block of Dewdney Avenue Saturday night.

Regina police say the vehicle was speeding eastbound on Dewdney Avenue at Albert Street before it lost control and collided with a building.

The woman who was driving was not injured. A man in the passenger seat suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the vehicle is extensively damaged, and damage to the building is minor.

Miranda Jean Schmidt, of Regina, was arrested and has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

Schmidt will make her first court appearance on Sept. 23.
