Weather warnings were issued across much of Saskatchewan on Friday.

Environment Canada says a storm system is bringing a large swath of snow across the southern portion of the province.

RCMP responded to multiple crashes, including one involving four vehicles on Highway 11 south of Lumsden.

In Regina, police closed a section of the Ring Road near Winnipeg Street after several vehicles crashed or slid off the road.

Winter storm warnings were in effect for southeastern parts of the province, where 10 to 15 centimetres of snowfall was expected.

Wind chill warnings were also issued for several communities, including Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Estevan, Weyburn and Yorkton.
