Carmichael Outreach is getting a new, larger, location. On Monday night, city council unanimously approved Carmichael's plans to re-locate into a larger building a few blocks away from its current home.
The move has been years in the making. The Carmichael’s executive director says the current building is too small and too old for the centre’s current needs.
The new location is the former legion hall on 12th avenue. It is much larger than the Carmichael's current building. The organization is planning a major expansion alongside the move.
Renovations to the new location will begin almost immediately. The Carmichael Outreach hopes to move in sometime this summer.
