A four-year-old e-mail is raising questions about who in the Saskatchewan government knew what when it came to the Global Transportation Hub land deal.
The e-mail, which was obtained and released by the NDP, reads, "while I understand that there will be pushback in terms of appraisal methodologies, it does mean that we have some information that makes a case for our position."
While the e-mail does not indicate who "our" is or exactly what the "position" was, the NDP says it is enough for the public to start connecting the dots.
The government has responded to the e-mail and the NDP’s comments, saying the e-mail was included in documents reviewed by the provincial auditor earlier this year. While the government is not ruling out an inquiry, it says that won’t happen while the matter is under police investigation.
