One person is dead and another seriously injured after a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV near the Albert Street bridge in Regina.
Emergency crews responded to the crash at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Albert Street just before 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say it appears the SUV crossed the centre line on Albert Street before colliding with the motorcycle.
The 66-year-old male driver of the SUV died at the scene. His name hasn’t been released.
A woman on the motorcycle suffered severe injuries to her left leg and was taken to hospital, where she is said to be in stable condition.
Albert Street was expected to be closed from College Avenue to Regina Avenue for several hours while police investigated.
