Some multi-million dollar changes are coming to Regina’s Cornwall Centre.

The city has issued the mall a $5.8 million commercial building permit for retail alteration. The Cornwall Centre says this will be a new-to-Regina fashion retailer for both men and women.

“There are lots of rumors around, but new retailers often like to make their own announcements,” said Cornwall Centre general manager Doug Kozak.

“So, in this case, this retailer wants to do their own announcement.”

The store will include two floors and will be located in the former Havik building on 11th Street. Space in the mall has also been set aside for the 22,500-square-foot project. It is expected to open in early 2018.

The Cornwall will also be adding two more new-to-market retailers in April. All existing retailers and common areas will remain open during construction.
