Regina residents might be pulled over more and more as Regina Police Service aims to crack down on distracted driving.

Police say that while they have noticed a decline in people using their cell phones while driving this summer, it appears that the distractions have increased in the last month.

With distracted driving on the rise, police are determined to make drivers think twice about picking up their cell phones and are launching a more aggressive approach in unmarked vehicles this month.

On August 14th alone there were 68 tickets issued for distracted driving.

RPS says that that distracted driving is an ongoing problem, and distracted drivers can expect to be pulled over no matter what month it is.
