The Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced a roster shakeup that saw the team sign four players and release six, including veteran defensive tackle Dario Romero.

Quarterback Matt Johnson, offensive tackle Clint Oldenburg, linebacker Alvin Bowen, and defensive backs Jamaal Fudge and Justin Wilson were among the players who were cut.

The Riders also signed import quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan and import defensive backs Macho Harris, Talmadge Jackson and T.J. Rushing.

All four are considered blue-chip signings. Harris was the starting free safety for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009, and Jackson won a Rose Bowl at the University of Oregon.

Rushing won a Super Bowl with the Colts, and O'Sullivan was the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers in 2008.
