Regina police say everything is back to normal after a network issue caused problems for people trying to call 911 on a cellphone.

The issue, which apparently only affected cellphones, was first noticed shortly before 10 a.m. Monday. Problems included no voice path, fast busy signal, dropped calls and disconnected calls, police said.

The situation prompted police to urge the public to use a landline to call 911 instead of a cellphone.

Just before 3 p.m., police tweeted that the phone issues had been resolved.
