A jury has found three former SaskTel managers guilty of fraud and theft.

Joan Yasinowski, Barry Richardson and Dan Crites were each found guilty Tuesday of two counts of fraud over $5,000.

Yasinowski, Richardson and Crites were also all originally charged with theft over $5,000, but the jury found them guilty of theft under $5,000. It took the jury of eight women and four men a day and a half to reach the verdicts.

The trio was accused of bilking SaskTel out of more than $100,000 through a company called “Green Really Works,” which overcharged SaskTel for assembling digital TV set-top boxes.

During the trial, the Crown said the children of the former managers were being paid $200 an hour to assemble the boxes.

It was also alleged that the accused bought golf clubs, bicycles and signed apparel on SaskTel’s dime, and claimed the merchandise was for promotional use.

The defence had argued that the three had been under pressure from upper management to assemble the boxes quickly, and that SaskTel was getting good value for its money.
