Regina police have laid multiple charges after an attempted traffic stop led to the arrest of two break-and-enter suspects early Sunday morning.

Just after 5:30 a.m., police saw a vehicle turning onto Victoria Avenue from Francis Street. Police say as they got closer, the vehicle quickly turned into the alley on the 2000 block of McKay Street. The vehicle stopped and the two occupants fled on foot, but police quickly apprehended both people.

Around the same time, other Regina police units were dispatched to an alarm call from the 1700 block of Francis Street. A business was broken into.

The vehicle that the two suspects fled contained numerous pieces of property that belonged to the business, according to police.

Kevin Sayer, 41, and Andrea Lowe, 36, have both been charged with break and enter, and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Sayer is also facing possession of break and enter tools, impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 0.8 charges.

Both accused will appear in court on Monday.
