A supervisor who oversaw child care workers on the Kahkewistahaw First Nation has told an inquest she knew very little about the boy accused of killing Lee Bonneau.

Brenda Obey from the Yorkton Tribal Council said she didn’t know the 10-year-old boy, referred to as LT, was diagnosed with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder or that he had killed a dog.

She says normally a case like this would have been red-flagged and brought to her attention but it never was.

Obey said she only found out the details about LT when she went looking for the file after Bonneau's death.

Three more witnesses are expected to testify at the inquest in Regina.
