Regina Mayor Pat Fiacco is sporting an Alouettes jersey today after losing a Grey Cup bet to Montreal Mayor Gerald Tremblay.

Thursday marked the second time Fiacco donned a Montreal jersey after betting on the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Grey Cup.

As part of the bet, an Alouettes flag will also fly at Regina city hall and two sets of season tickets will be donated to charity groups in Montreal.

"The bet is really to help people that don't have access to the games," Tremblay said.

The Alouettes jersey Tremblay wore while attending the National Infrastructure Summit in Regina carried the entire team's autographs. He hopes to auction the sweater for $5,000 to $10,000 and donate the cash to charities in Montreal.

Fiacco took the lost bet in stride, saying it's "all in good fun."

There was some green and white at the three-day conference, however. Regina city councillors wore Riders jerseys at the summit on Wednesday.
