A school in a small community southeast of Regina was put under a "hold and secure" over a possible threat on Wednesday morning.

Around 9:20 a.m., RCMP received a call from Vibank Regional School about a possible threat to the school.

As a precaution, the K-12 school has been put under a "hold and secure," in which exterior doors are locked and monitored but classes continue.

The all-clear was issued and the hold and secure was lifted just before 3 p.m. Parents have been told they can pick up their children as normal.

RCMP say the investigation into the possible threat is still ongoing. No further details have been released.

The school's Terry Fox run scheduled for Wednesday morning had to be cancelled because of the situation.
