Officials are hopeful that classes will soon resume at Langenburg High School after the building was closed this week because of concerns over air quality.

The Good Spirit School Division says air quality and mechanical engineering specialists have determined that the affected area of the school can be isolated.

Work was expected to begin Tuesday to isolate the gym, theatre and south wing of the eastern Saskatchewan school.

Air quality testing is scheduled to be conducted Thursday to determine if it is safe for students to return to the building early next week.

A meeting is expected to be held next week to provide parents of the 208 students who attend the school with an update on the situation.
