Quarterback Kevin Glenn is back on the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ roster once again after signing with the team in the wake of Darian Durant’s departure.

It’s the third time Glenn, who is entering his 17th CFL season, has signed with the Riders. He originally joined the Green and White in 2001.

"Bringing Kevin in will provide a veteran presence at quarterback while increasing the level of internal competition," Riders head coach and general manager Chris Jones said in a news release.

"Whether he is on the field or not, Kevin will have a positive impact on our group. He is a proven leader and talented player that we expect to come in and compete with the other quarterbacks for the starting position."

Last season, Glenn completed 222 passes for 2,547 yards and 13 touchdowns in 10 regular-season games with the Montreal Alouettes.

Earlier this month, the Riders traded veteran quarterback Darian Durant to the Alouettes for two draft picks. Durant was set to become a free agent Feb. 14 after 11 seasons with Saskatchewan.
