A teenager is facing several charges after an incident involving a gun outside the Regina General Hospital on Wednesday night.

Around 8:30 p.m., police responded to a report that a male had pointed a gun at another male outside the hospital.

Officers located a person matching the description of the suspect nearby and took him into custody. Police seized an unloaded, sawed-off shotgun during the arrest.

The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named, has been charged with various firearm-related offences. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance Thursday afternoon.
