The College Building at the University of Regina has opened its doors again after renovations.

Dignitaries were at the College Avenue campus on Friday morning for the grand re-opening. The building was closed for two years for renovations.

The College Building is home to the Centre for Continuing Education and the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy.

The design of the building aims to combine the historic elements of the building with new modern upgrades.

“We had to demolish parts of the College Building and we had to build additions,” said U of R President Vianne Timmons. “We had to renovate every space, every mechanical, every bit of this building, we rewired. So, it was a massive multi-million dollar project.”

The university is now moving on to renovations to Darke Hall.
