Police say they responded to the 1500 block of Garnet Street for a gun call just before 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. They found the 12-year old suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transported to Regina General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A 15-year old male has been charged with careless use or storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited weapon, and breach of an officer’s undertaking. He is set to appear in court on Monday.
The investigation is ongoing.
