Three people are in custody facing first-degree murder charges following a double homicide on the Standing Buffalo First Nation.

RCMP have identified the victims as 27-year-old Jessica Redman and Sheldon Yuzicappi, 28.

Both victims were from the Standing Buffalo First Nation. Their bodies were found in a home on the reserve Thursday morning.

Brittany Bear, 21, of the Standing Buffalo First Nation made her first court appearance on first-degree murder charges Friday morning in Regina. She is scheduled to return to court Oct. 18.

Two other residents of the reserve are also in custody facing similar charges – Kody Bear, 22, and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named.

The man and the teen turned themselves in to Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP on Thursday night. They are scheduled to make their first court appearance Monday.
