Three people are recovering from minor injuries after a semi-tractor trailer and a tractor collided Tuesday night on Highway 1.

RCMP responded to the crash around 10:40 p.m. about 13 kilometres west of Swift Current.

The semi and trailer caught on fire, sending the 60-year-old woman driving the semi, and her 57-year-old male passenger to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the tractor was a 34-year-old man from Alberta. He was also taken to the hospital in Swift Current with undisclosed injuries.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes are shut down as emergency crews to respond to the situation.

At this time there is no word as to when the highway will be re-opened.
