Now’s a good time to fill up your tank as gas prices continue to fall in Regina.

Several stations in the city were selling gas for 102.4 cents a litre Friday, according to GasBuddy.com. That’s a drop of about 20 cents a litre from two weeks ago.

Regina Messenger had the cheapest gas in the city at 93.9 cents a litre, followed by Regina Cabs at 94.9 cents a litre and Costco at 96.9 cents a litre.

But Dan McTeague, senior petroleum analyst from GasBuddy.com, said the gasoline market is likely in a “downward trend,” noting that most refineries are switching over to making winter gas, which is about three cents a litre cheaper than summer gas.

There is also an oversupply of oil on the global market and it’s the same for gasoline, which could mean more gas prices in the 90-cent range to come.
