According to a report in the Edmonton Journal, the Eskimos have come to terms with defensive tackle Marcus Adams and are on the verge of announcing the signing.

"I would say the deal is finalized, I just haven't signed the contract yet," the 31-year-old Adams told The Journal. "I'm looking forward to playing in Edmonton. To me it's been the team that's always worried me. With Ricky Ray at quarterback it's always been a dangerous team and I'm looking forward to not having to face him any more."

The Saskatchewan Roughriders released Adams last month, ending his eight-year association with the club.

Adams posted 26 tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery over 16 games in 2010.

Since signing as a free agent prior to the 2003 season, the Eastern Kentucky product totaled 129 tackles, 12 sacks and three fumble recoveries in 84 contests.
