The small town of Quinton, Sask. has a new star.
On Friday, 18-year-old Kyle Schachtel was a mechanic. Fast forward 24 hours, and he's an international model.
Schachtel won the Discovered modeling competition in Regina Saturday.
The Discovered search is put on by Edge Agency and Sarah Lindsay Makeup Artistry.
Schachtel's grand prize includes a two-month modeling contract in Toronto, and the chance to model in Asia.
55 hopefuls from across the province entered the competition, which began September 10. The winner was chosen by talent scouts from Toronto and Asia at a runway show Saturday night.
The Discovered runway show also raised $27,000 which will go towards the Children's Wish Foundation.
