RCMP in Saskatchewan say a B.C. man is dead after the vehicle he was driving rolled into a slough near Melville, Sask.

Police and emergency crews responded to the crash on Highway 47, about 10 kilometres south of the city, shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Crews pulled the lone driver from the vehicle, which was submerged in a nearby slough. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the driver, an 83-year-old man from B.C., will not be released, RCMP said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
