Minimum-wage workers in Saskatchewan will soon be getting a 30-cent-an-hour raise.

On Oct. 1, the minimum wage will increase to $10.50 an hour from $10.20, the province announced Thursday.

The minimum wage in Saskatchewan is reviewed annually using an indexation formula, which is based on the change in the consumer price index and the average hourly wage for the previous year.

There are currently nearly 24,000 minimum-wage earners in Saskatchewan’s workforce.
