A missing 19-year-old Saskatchewan man has been located.

Alexander Jack Scott Thompson was discovered walking near railway tracks about four kilometres west of Viceroy, Sask. by a local resident, RCMP said in a media release Friday.

Thompson was last seen in the community of Readlyn, about 100 kilometres south of Moose Jaw, Wednesday night before he was reported missing.

RCMP used an unmanned aerial vehicle and worked alongside volunteers to search for Thompson.

Police encouraged residents and landowners in Saskatchewan’s Readlyn, Verwood, Assiniboia, Willow Brunch and Viceroy areas to check their farm and acreage buildings.

Thompson has a health condition that “prevents him from having the capacity to deal with stressful situations” and investigators believed he could have been hiding from the public or his family.
