RCMP in Saskatchewan say a B.C. man has been charged after 30 pounds of marijuana was seized during a traffic stop Wednesday on Highway 1 near Wolseley, Sask.

The 49-year-old driver from Kamloops, B.C. faces one count of possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

The man’s name has not been released.

The accused made his first court appearance Thursday in Fort Qu’Appelle. He is due back in court in Indian Head on June 6.
